1882nd CS Lineage
The 1882nd Communications Squadron was activated at Phan Rang AB Vietnam on 1 Nov 1965 and transferred to Bergstrom AFB TX on 31 Dec 1971. It became the 67th Communications Squadron on 16 Aug 1991 and was inactivated on 6 Jul 1993.
1882nd CS Mission Statement 1965
The mission of the 1882nd Communications Squadron is to manage and execute Air Force responsibilities for telecommunications and Air Traffic Control services to Air Force units in the Phan Rang Air Base area and to other agencies as designated by the Commander, 1964th Communications Group. The 1964th Communications Group is a part of Southeast Asia Comm Region which in turn is under the control of Pacific Area Command Communications Area.
1882nd CS Mission Statement 1968
The mission of the 1882nd Communications Squadron is to manage and execute Air Force Communications Service responsibilities for operation and maintenance of Telecommunications and Air Traffic Control services for Air Force, Army and other associated agencies of the Phan Rang Air Base area in direct support of the tactical missions of the 35th Tactical Fighter Wing and the 315th Special Operations Wing.
